Peter Roussak has 40 years of legal experience, both in private practice and in-house and as founder and general counsel to several start-ups. He specializes in complex corporate transactions, including M&A, private equity and joint ventures, in addition to SEC reporting, corporate formation and governance, and commercial contracts.
Most recently, he was the General Counsel for Interlink Electronics, a NASDAQ-listed international technology company, with primary responsibility for M&A. He served as EVP, Business & Legal Affairs with Élysée Family Entertainment, a developer, producer and manager of live family entertainment attractions, with responsibility for intellectual property matters, joint ventures and financings in addition to providing strategic advice and financial modeling. Before Élysée, he was a founding partner of companies that developed and operated traveling exhibitions for museums and commercial venues, including in China.
Mr. Roussak also serves as EVP of IP Securitized Corporation, which provides consulting services in connection with litigation funding for IP and general business cases and expansion and acquisition capital for IP-rich companies.
He was a founding partner of Mandeville Partners, LLC, a Los Angeles based merchant bank engaged in acquisitions in Latin America, including from 1996 to 1997 spearheading a $350 million consolidation of the cable TV industry in Argentina. Before Mandeville, he served as SVP and General Counsel of Thrifty PayLess, Inc, a $4.5 billion retail chain, and practiced corporate securities and M&A law, representing primarily private equity firms in acquisitions and financings, with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and Irell & Manella.
Mr. Roussak received his law degrees from Cambridge University (MA, 1981) and the University of Chicago (JD, Order of the Coif, 1983) and is a member of the California State Bar.
