Mr. Slough is a senior counsel with VLC, specializing in business, entertainment/sports and real estate transactions. Mr. Slough began his legal career at Fulbright & Jaworski in San Antonio, Texas, practicing real estate and public finance law, and has been practicing for more than 25 years. Over the course of his career, he has become an accomplished attorney and business executive who possesses a unique combination of experience in law, sports, banking, finance, and entrepreneurship. As a business attorney, Mr. Slough's practice focuses on the drafting of a wide variety of agreements common to closely held businesses and start-ups, with particular emphasis on business formation and organization, operating and partnership agreements, private placement memorandums, purchase and sale agreements, promissory notes, demand letters, employment agreements, independent contractor agreements, non-disclosure agreements, strategic alliance agreements and commercial banking transactions. Mr. Slough is also experienced real estate attorney, specializing in multi-family and commercial syndications, financings, and acquisitions. He also has extensive experience handling sports and entertainment transactions.

Outside of VLC, Mr. Slough is a partner and general counsel with Coaches Resource Management, a sports agency, where he maintains an active national sports law practice representing college and professional coaches in matters related to their employment. Mr. Slough began his career as a sports lawyer/agent in 1999, representing NFL players in their contract negotiations with NFL clubs.

Prior to entering the practice of law, Mr. Slough was a commercial banker in Nashville, Tennessee where his lending and banking expertise was centered on the music industry. Mr. Slough had a variety of music industry clients including artists, managers, producers, songwriters, recording studios and record companies. Mr. Slough provided financing for royalty advances, copyright catalogue acquisitions, artist tours, and studio equipment while also providing traditional commercial lending to record companies for working capital and expansion. Mr. Slough was elected to the Gospel Music Association Board of Directors and also served a term as its Treasurer.

Mr. Slough received both his Doctor of Jurisprudence and Master of Business Administration from Baylor University. He also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Abilene Christian University and has been a member of the Texas Bar since 1997.
