Ms. Arendsen received her law degree from the University of San Diego in 2006, and her degrees in Finance and Marketing from the University of Maryland in 2000. During law school, she clerked at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of California in San Diego. While clerking at the US Attorney’s Office, she worked in the Major Frauds and Narcotics Sections where she assisted attorneys prior to and during trial in federal court. While in law school, she also interned with the Office of the State Public Defender. After law school, she clerked at two small firms in San Diego which focused on civil litigation and construction defect litigation until she moved to Madison, Wisconsin with her husband in 2007. While in Madison, Ms. Arendsen worked at a small firm representing individuals in criminal, family law and bankruptcy cases. She also had her own practice advising individuals charged with criminal offenses. Ms. Arendsen and her husband moved back to the San Diego area in 2009 and started their family. From 2009 until early 2015 Ms. Arendsen focused on raising her two boys while working part-time as a legal assistant, where she focused on corporate formations and preparing contracts and documents for various business transactions. Ms. Arendsen is an avid runner and enjoys running and biking with her boys around Mission Bay. She has been a licensed attorney in the state of Wisconsin since 2008.
