Jonathan Bell is an associate at VLC, where he specializes in counseling companies and individuals in corporate, entertainment, real estate, and financial transactions. As part of his practice, Mr. Bell regularly handles entity formation and governance matters, corporate and securities compliance, mergers and acquisitions, private equity and debt financings, licensing agreements, entertainment and media agreements, employment and independent contractor agreements, confidentiality and nondisclosure agreements, technology and online agreements and mandatory state and federal filings.
Prior to joining VLC, Mr. Bell served as General Counsel of StandWithUs, an international nonprofit Israel education organization, where he regularly advised, consulted with and served as outside general counsel for various small and medium sized businesses and nonprofit organizations.
Mr. Bell is very active in several organizations serving the greater San Diego community. Notably, he previously served as a member of the board of directors of Jewish Federation of San Diego County, and he currently sits on the board of directors of Nonprofit Solutions.
Mr. Bell is licensed to practice law in both California (2019) and Illinois (2007), he graduated magna cum laude from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2007 and earned his undergraduate degree in History and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin in 2002. Originally from the Chicago area, Jonathan lives in San Diego with his wife and their children.
